Party on dude... errr... mice... errr... mouse!

Sorry but this page is going to be minimalistic.  For health reasons, I'm only spending one night in Ft. Lauderdale.  This is one partying town!  I'm staying at my favorite marina here, the Las Olas City Marina.  How can you not love this place, three blocks from the beach, less from the multitudes of bars and restaurants.  Did I mention that there are parties every night of the week... Anyhow, so I'm only spending one night so that I can get last minute groceries, parts and pieces.  I have to mention Dean, the manager of the West Marine in Washington, NC.  He has helped me more than anyone in getting all of the parts that I needed to make this trip possible.  Then to top it off, I called him last week and said that I needed 2 special order props waiting for me at the Ft. Lauderdale store and, no, I don't have a credit card (as per my accountant, it's not to be used till I come back to the states).  Dean says "no problem, they'll be waiting on you", and they were.  That's truly excellent customer service!  Thanks Dean, for all of your help.

I'll be going out in a few minutes to go eat some dinner and hopefully a party will not envelope me and carry me off... kinda scary ya know?  I plan on getting up early in the morning, doing a load of laundry and then heading off to the Bahamas.  A party tonight would NOT be helpful.  The weather tomorrow is supposed to be great with only 2 foot seas.  If that's true, it'll be the calmest crossing of the Gulf Stream that I've ever made.  (That's really why I'm only spending one night here, health reasons are only a worry once you're not healthy... (just kidding Mom!)).  See you in the Bahamas!

"Hey, there's a party starting on that 155' Feadship next door...

Hooters girls!  Why yes... Thanks, I'll be right over...  Oh well..."
