The famous Bridge of Lions is the first thing boaters see when coming into St. Augustine harbor.  The bridge was in major need

 of an overhaul, do to it's age and heavy use.  That process has begun now, as you can see in this picture of the bridge being

dismantled,  while a temporary lift bridge takes all of the traffic to the beach.  Estimates have the

 overhaul of the bridge being completed sometime in 2009.
